Erik Seidel joins the Brain Injury Rights Group after most recently serving as an Assistant State Attorney at the Florida State Attorney’s Office in Palm Beach County. In that role, he served as a division lead prosecutor and trial attorney, managing an extensive criminal caseload and seeing cases to completion. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and several Federal Courts.
Erik began his career serving in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in the Middle East. Upon being honorably discharged, Erik then joined the New York City Police Department in 1998 and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School while working there. Throughout his tenure in the NYPD, he progressed from being an investigative supervisor to working as an in-house counsel in the Legal Bureau. Erik strived to advance his career and was ultimately promoted to Commanding Officer of the Civil Litigation Unit. In this capacity, he was the primary liaison between the NYPD and the Office of the Corporation Counsel in New York City. After serving the NYPD for twenty years, Erik relocated his family to Palm Beach County, Florida.
Erik enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar, and hitting the gym. Advocating for the rights of special needs children has become his passion.
