Ed is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School and a Manhattan native. He is admitted to practice in New York and New York’s Southern District.
During law school, he completed internships with the Federal Public Defender’s Office and the
Children’s Rights Division of Human Rights Watch, and was included on the Tennessee Supreme Court’s 2015 Pro Bono Honor Roll.
After gaining admission to the Bar, Ed followed up on his passion for litigation and advocating on behalf of children and families by joining the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), where he represented the City in child abuse and child neglect cases in Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island Family Court. Since leaving ACS, Ed has focused primarily on special education litigation, with private firms and now with BIRG.
Ed has hundreds of hours of experience in court and administrative hearings and is a passionate and zealous litigator. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two cats, and in his free time likes to visit museums and record stores.
